DMPK Scientist (Senior/Principal)

With established facilities and highly skilled professionals in Lausanne, Switzerland, Orbis Medicines is establishing discovery capabilities at a new Copenhagen site. The site is expected to house a team of 15 experienced professionals, bringing the total workforce to 30, including the Lausanne site.

As DMPK Scientist at Orbis Medicines, you will report to the Head of DMPK. You will become a central member of Orbis Medicines’ DMPK department, initially focusing on (high-throughput) in vitro ADME screening and expanding to more advanced drug metabolism, pharmacokinetic studies, and PK/PD modelling.

Your main tasks are:

  • Establish an automated in vitro DMPK screening platform.
  • Establish an automated pre-formulation screening platform.
  • Design, conduct, and manage in vitro and in vivo experiments
  • Selection and set-up of the appropriate in-vitro/in-vivo models
  • PK/PD support and the use of modelling and simulation tools
  • Ensure that ADME profiling, PK/PD, human dose predictions, or other related deliverables are undertaken according to the best practice standard 

The successful candidate holds a PhD in a relevant scientific field. You have +5 years of industry experience in Drug Discovery DMPK and enjoy developing novel technical solutions (lab-based). Moreover, you have experience developing and implementing novel in vitro assays in an automated setting. You have demonstrated knowledge of ADME, PK/PD, and bioanalytical development of small molecules or peptide therapeutics. Finally, you have hands-on expertise in LC-MS/MS-based bioanalytical techniques.

You are a person who is detail-oriented with a solid commitment to quality. You thrive in balancing independent and collaborative work and are dedicated to ongoing learning and flexibility to change. Finally, you have strong communication skills to foster team collaboration and feedback.
