With established facilities and highly skilled professionals in Lausanne, Switzerland, Orbis Medicines is establishing discovery capabilities at a new Copenhagen site. The site is expected to house a team of 15 experienced professionals, bringing the total workforce to 30, including the Lausanne site.

As Head of DMPK at Orbis Medicines, you will report directly to the CDO, and be responsible for building the DMPK department and setting the vision and scientific strategy for DMPK/ADME. 

Your main tasks are:

  • Establish an in vitro screening platform applicable to the nCycles.
  • Establish a pre-formulation screening platform.
  • Design PK studies and provide PK (and PK/PD) modelling.
  • Establish a drug metabolism/MetID expertise.
  • Target assessment from a PK/PD perspective.
  • Provide scientific guidance on design drivers for oral macrocycle discovery.
  • Provide scientific DMPK leadership and strategic direction to research project teams. 

To succeed in the position, your qualifications are a PhD in a related scientific field and 7-10 years of industry experience in peptide Drug Discovery DMPK. Moreover, you have a proven track record of leading DMPK teams (line function or project team) and hands-on experience in drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics (in vitro and in vivo studies), and human PK and DDI predictions. 

You are a person with strong communicative skills who thrives in an entrepreneurial start-up environment. You possess strong leadership skills and can guide and motivate the people around you, fostering good collaboration and an inspiring work environment. You are quick to adapt to changes and like to set directions.
