As Professional Medical Specialist at LEO Pharma you will lead clinical development projects by providing expert medical and scientific guidance. The role will shape development plans and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure impactful, high-quality outcomes.

With direct report to the Medical Head.

Your main tasks include:

• Clinical Trial Leadership: Design, develop, and oversee clinical trials, ensuring they are scientifically and ethically sound while managing medical monitoring, adverse event coding, and regulatory submissions.
• Scientific & Medical Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert in dermatology, staying current on scientific literature, treatment guidelines, and the competitive landscape to provide informed medical advice.
• Cross-Functional Support: Partner with internal teams (marketing, sales, regulatory, and clinical) by providing scientific support, training staff, and maintaining expertise within the therapeutic area.
• Regulatory & Documentation: Prepare clinical trial protocols, informed consent forms, and applications for authorities, and participate in regulatory interactions such as IND submissions and meetings.
• Medical Insights & Evidence Generation: Capture insights from clinical practice, support real-world evidence initiatives, and bring external perspectives back into the organization to shape strategy.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in clinical trial methodology, GCP, drug development, regulatory interactions, and clinical trial documentation, along with knowledge of legal requirements for clinical research. They must also demonstrate excellent scientific writing skills and effective cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.

You have a Master’s Degree in medicine (MD or equivalent) 

You are a person who is highly energized and organized, able to communicate clearly and engagingly, and demonstrate a strong understanding of stakeholder management across all levels of the organization. They must excel in both written and verbal communication as the subject matter expert.

Travelling: Minimal travel required
