Screening Biologist (Senior/Principal)

Orbis Medicines operates at the intersection of science and technology, integrating cutting-edge tools like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to accelerate the drug discovery process.
With established facilities and highly skilled professionals in Lausanne, Switzerland, Orbis Medicines is establishing discovery capabilities at a new Copenhagen site. The site is expected to house a team of 15 experienced professionals, bringing the total workforce to 30, including the Lausanne site.
As Screening Biologist at Orbis Medicines, you will join the newly established team in Copenhagen, Denmark, and contribute to discovering and developing innovative therapeutic solutions.
With direct report to the VP, Discovery Biology, you take a driving role in the startup and equipment of the lab facilities, setting up effective workflow procedures in an active lab role.
Your main tasks include:
- Target research and identification of suitable assay methodologies.
- Development and adaptation of biochemical and cellular test systems to miniaturised format.
- High throughput screening of compounds.
- Evaluation of data and logging of experimental methods.
- Planning and coordination of activities across different departments.
Your qualifications include more than eight years of practical laboratory experience, preferentially from the pharma industry, including experience with high-throughput screening, cell culture techniques and/or assay development.
You have a PhD in a relevant life science discipline and multi-year post-doc experience.
